Spring Horse Racing Carnival
Around Australia, we adore our horse racing and we figured we’d demonstrate Australia’s largest & most famous festival, Its’ Melbourne Spring Festival. Sit back and be entertained as we guide people through Melbourne’s greatest race within Australia, demonstrating the stars of Melbourne’s Turf & of course the trainers and jockeys in the cutting edge of this breathtaking industry. This is the best moment for punters to get their money’s worth.
Once we get beyond Derby Day & by god it’s a massive race, we prepare ourselves for the day that stops a nation, The Melbourne Cup. Ever since the inception of the race, the stories of Archer being paraded down from Sydney to challenge the Trophy and who won the 1st two runnings of it to boot, Aussies have been engaged. Melbournians even have a public holiday to celebrate!
The love experience that was Makybe Diva & the Aussie population was something to be admired. Makybe Diva was why people continued going to the track. To win three Melbourne Cups in succession is something else that we arguably will not ever be repeated again. What about the awe Aussies got when Dermot Weld came out & took our Cup home to Ireland back in ‘93 with Vintage Crop. Or when he did it again back in ‘02 with Media Puzzle. What about Sheila Laxon triumphant with Ethereal, or the memorable Might And Power & Doriemus photo ending. The rain came down back in ‘74 and Van Der Hum took it home. With so many TAB and online sports betting websites in Australia, punters can easily place their bets.
And then there was Bart. JB Cummings. The Cups King. The man who has trained the Melbourne Cup hero a lazy 11 times. With horses such as Light Fingers, Galilee, Think Big (twice), Hyperno, Let’s Elope and Saintly triumphanting for him in the past. In 2008 punters and bookies alike were anticipating Viewed could do it for the Cup Kings & make that weary eleven a decent dozen over the curtain and who would have though the soon to be eighty year old would in fact do it. Well done Bart, you are truly the king of the Turf.
We will also not forget the hot water Luca Cumani & second spot winner Bauer landed in after it was revealed the horse accepted shockwave therapeutics, banned within seven days of the Melbourne Cup. The stir was remarkable, especially after it was discovered an RVL delegated veterinarian conducted the therapy.
